Be the Boss of your time – and your health
My aspiration for life is to achieve great things.
I built a successful career, married the love of my life, am a trusted friend, and a mom who is present for her children.
Life was busy, yes. But I was everything I wanted to be. Until my health started to become an issue.
After my second daughter was born, I was tired all day, didn’t have energy, and my stomach and hands were covered with eczema.
Soon enough I found out what was going on. I had an autoimmune disease. And while I wanted to keep up the pace of my busy life, I couldn’t do it anymore. I had to create space to heal.
Day by day, step by step, bite by bite, I was able to get my health and life back in order by making micro-changes. These tiny pockets of time where I intentionally scheduled space to let my body rest, give it the nourishment it needed, and reduce the stress I’d been carrying with me for so long.
This is what made it possible for me to feel like myself again. To show up as a great mom, a great wife, and continue building great success in my career.
Here is how I did it.
- The 5 pillars of good health are eating well, getting enough sleep, regular exercise, managing stress, and close relationships. Each day spend time on at least 3 of the pillars. Really maximize your time by doing multiple pillars at the same time like taking an exercise class with a friend or including meditation as part of your nighttime routine.
- Create as many “robot routines” as possible for common tasks like meal planning and prepping, deciding what to wear, and shopping for groceries and household necessities. Use your brainpower for things that require creativity, high level thoughtfulness, and interaction with people like preparing for a work meeting or hosting a dinner party.
- Use non-toxic, immune-supporting beauty and self-care products with recognizable ingredients. As busy moms, time is our most precious resource. We want to feel beautiful and take care of our bodies while we move through our day of family and work responsibilities.
At the same time, a new passion had been sparked within me for health and wellness.
This led me to getting my health coach certification at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and became a certified health and time management consultant.
Today, I empower busy moms to create space for health and healing because too many of us put ourselves last on the list– when we’re the hub of the household, the heart of the family.
When we suffer, our kids and our partners suffer too. It’s time to change that. And I’ll show you how.
